1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the provision of carpentry and joinery services by TP Carpentry. By using our services or website, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
We provide professional carpentry and joinery services throughout Worcestershire and surrounding areas, including but not limited to:
- First-fix and second-fix carpentry
- Bespoke joinery and furniture
- Window and door installation
- Decking, fencing, and outdoor structures
- Kitchen fitting and built-in storage
- Restoration and repair work
3. Quotations
- All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation
- Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated
- Final costs may vary if project scope changes or unforeseen issues arise
- We will always inform you of any cost changes before proceeding
4. Bookings and Payments
- A deposit may be required to secure booking (typically 25-50% of total cost)
- Payment terms will be agreed in writing before work commences
- Final payment is due upon satisfactory completion of work
- We accept bank transfer, cash, and cheque payments
- Late payment may incur interest charges as permitted by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
5. Cancellations
By Customer:
- Cancellations with 7+ days notice: Full refund of deposit
- Cancellations with 3-7 days notice: 50% deposit refund
- Cancellations with less than 3 days notice: No refund
- Materials already ordered are non-refundable
By Us:
We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances (illness, emergencies). In such cases, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer full refund or rescheduling.
6. Warranty and Guarantees
- We guarantee all workmanship for 12 months from completion date
- Materials are covered by manufacturer warranties where applicable
- Warranty does not cover damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear and tear
- Defects must be reported within 7 days of discovery
7. Liability and Insurance
- We carry full public liability insurance
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage or issues not disclosed before work begins
- Liability for indirect or consequential losses is excluded to the extent permitted by law
- Our liability is limited to the contract value for the specific project
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate project information and site access
- Obtain necessary planning permissions or building regulations approval
- Clear work areas of valuables and fragile items
- Inform us of any hazards (asbestos, electrical issues, structural concerns)
- Provide adequate power and water supply if required
9. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, supplier delays, or government restrictions.
10. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, we encourage resolution through direct communication. If unresolved, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable UK consumer protection legislation.
